I am currently reading " Getting Jefferson Right" by Warren and Michael. Years ago I was a principal of a Christian school that used what was known as "The Red Books". The books were based on how the chain of Christianity had moved from Europe and now firmly established in America. The leadership of the school wanted the the students to be Americans first and Christians second, at least that was my opinion after two years, while I was just the opposite. Yes, I am patriotic, but I'm a Christian, retired from 41 years as a chaplain for hospice and hospital plus 26 years in church ministry and I am not opposed to critical thinking our nations history.
